Tribe FM‘s systems were outdated – parts had been replaced countless times, and things added on, that it was nothing like it’s original form – a classic case of the Ship of Theseus.

When I stepped in as a volunteer audio producer and saw what was happening, I decided to put my name forward to help out. Fast forward 5 years and I’m now trusted to manage all aspects of their IT infrastructure, from databases and networks which support playout and outside (remote) broadcasts, to their audio chain (my next challenge) and transmission systems. I’m to report to the board on issues, fixes, and general updates, and where necessary, recommend and assist in grant applications and purchases.

From time-to-time I still make a cameo on-air, mix live events, and produce promotions, jingles, and other imaging. I don’t touch the website anymore, though. 😂
