‘Twas the month before Christmas, and all through the… phone? I received an Instagram DM asking if I could make a Christmas ad and 3D print some lettering.

Working closely with the brand manager at Adelaide’s Finest Supermarkets, we pulled together this little film.

On a Thursday morning we bumped into a live supermarket, with a probe lens, camera slider, and what seemed to be an endless amount of lighting in a shopping trolley.

Battling with people stopping and staring right in the background of our shot, freshly made food getting less-fresh by the second, and me having to pull focus and slide a camera back along a long table with no wobble, we only went and did it. To quote one of the people on set – “It looks like a real ad!”… yes, I’d hope so.

Super happy with everything from the execution to the grade on this. Even the portrait cut isn’t too bad.
